Mommy's little helper...

A few of weeks ago (yikes, I am so behind), I was working around the house while Ava was at school and I realized that I had not heard from Mia in a little while. My heart started pounding, my thoughts were racing...what kind of trouble is she getting into?!?!?!?!

This is what I found:

When asked what she was doing she said, "do laundry." I guess that means that I do the laundry frequently enough that she actually knows what to do...Yay for me!

Destination STILL unknown...

It seems that we get asked almost daily where we will be going at the end of Peter's residency in June. I promise that we want to give you an answer and that we're not trying to keep any secrets!

You see, most physicians have known for quite some time where their lives will take them and therefore have many plans for the future outside of residency. However, we do not and can not plan for the future.....at least not yet. We are being held at the mercy of the United States Government (reminder: Peter will be an ENT for the US Air Force.)

We do have a list of possibilities:

1. Air Force Acadamy: Colorado Springs, CO


2. Travis AFB: Fairfield, CA


3. Eglin AFB: Pensacola, FL (highly unlikely since there isn't an anticipated opening)


4. Andrews AFB: D.C. area


5. Lackland AFB: San Antonio, TX (again, highly unlikely since there isn't an anticipated opening)


6. Keesler AFB: Biloxi, MS

The bases above are listed in order of our preference....We left off two of the bases that will have openings (Las Vegas, NV & Anchorage, AK) in hopes that we will not be sent there. All signs are pointing toward us receiving the news soon. It will likely be by the end of March, but we are hoping to know before.

Trust me....as soon as we know.....YOU WILL KNOW too! We are excited about our future and are looking forward to sharing the news. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later!

Ava & Mia have something to say....

Ava, Mia and I went to visit Peter at work last night for a family Valentines party (this is what Ava called it.) It was nice to spend the evening together and to see where Daddy works. Here are two video clips from last night:


First of all, I am continually amazed at Mia's vocabulary....She just turned 17 mos. on the 5th!
Secondly, I apologize for Ava's mouth full of Chocolate ;)!
