Mia has a new favorite place to play much to Jake's dismay! Mia will drag Jake's bed to various locations in the house and climb in. I have taken these pictures over several days and the interest in Jake's bed has yet to cease.

Sweet sisters...
In the past few weeks, Ava & Mia have been playing together so sweetly. It has been really fun to watch this develop. Of course, their relationship is not without the normal fussing and fighting. Despite the fussing, it is so sweet to watch their bond grow.

A surprise visit...
We got a surprise visit from our old next door neighbors, Kim & Maggie! The girls and I met them at the play place at the mall for a quick, but well enjoyed visit. It was the first time that Maggie and Mia were able to meet each other because Mia had not been born when Jon, Kim, baby Maggie and doggie Ellie moved to CT. It was so nice to spend some time with old friends! Here are some photos of the girls playing:

Keeping Track....
Ava measures 37.25 " tall and weighs in at 31.9 lbs. She knows her Alphabet (has sung the song for over a year now) and can recognize all of the letters independently, she can count to 20 and she has an incredible vocabulary! Ava's memory is like that of an elephant and she continues to surprise and amuse us daily!
Then...
Now!
Mia measures 29" tall and weighs in at 20 lbs. She is quickly becoming an expert at sign language and verbally says new words almost daily. We are really enjoying all of the awe and wonder that comes along with being one. It is such a sweet age and we're eating up every minute of it! Still no independent walking yet for Mia, but she loves to "go" by holding onto our fingers.

Now!

On Seattle and weddings...
This past weekend the family made a whirlwind trip to Seattle, WA for Chris & Tiffany's wedding. Although the trip started very rocky, we ended up having a wonderful time and were honored to participate in such a joyous occasion.
Congratulations & best wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Christopher Sabatini!

Here is our video of Miss Mia's reaction the birthday song (she really liked the attention) and to tasting the birthday cake (she really didn't like the cake).

One is so much fun!
We celebrated sweet Mia's first birthday on Saturday. I can hardly believe that she is already ONE! She absolutely loved the party and having so many people at our house. However, she didn't really care for the birthday cake!
Here are some photos of the fun!
